SADIQ'S FORMER COACH PRAISES STRIKER
José Gomes talks about Umar Sadiq to VCF Radio
Valencia CF striker Umar Sadiq is in great form. His former coach at UD Almería, José Gomes, talked about him to VCF Radio this week.
Sadiq
“He has almost everything you look for in a striker. He is an incredibly hard worker and has character, identity and a huge heart. He gives his all for the team. He is a very bothersome striker for the centre-backs. There are goals that come when he presses up on them.”
Sadiq's signing for UD Almería
“I saw those characteristics: Speed and aggressiveness when creating or finishing. Although he is not elegant in the way he runs, he is effective. He scores a lot of goals. He gives everything for the team. He came to us with a lot of enthusiasm.”
“The first few weeks didn't go very well because he was following on from Darwin Núñez, and people had doubts. But we prepared some finishing drills at the end of each training session. We did a phenomenal job and we have a very good relationship, a special affection. He deserves the best.”

“I see him doing very well there. I think he's going to help Valencia CF a lot and achieve the targets for the season. What I see is that he's happy. People are showing him affection.”
